We are pioneering the development of large deployable antenna technology in Europe, targeting European and global markets. As a motivated Production Engineer (m/w/d) you will work closely with the workshop, MAIT and Quality departments and have the unique opportunity to join our diverse and motivated team to deliver valuable work in the space industry together with us.

Your Tasks

  • Create and maintain production, work, and shipment schedules and prioritize job orders for production optimization.
  • As a member of the MAIT team, interact with the others in the team incl. the workshop team daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or to provide additional information as requested from Manufacturing, Quality Assurance and/or Procurement.
  • Contribute in planning of all production activities and improving manufacturing procedures
  • Support the workshop lead in defining the working plan/schedule for the workshop
  • Implement tools and processes for logging of manufacturing process
  • Confer with team leads and project managers to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving production problems.
  • Drawing up production schedules, BOM, processes
  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of consumables, materials, parts, components and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
  • Complete status reports and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory and finished goods demand.
  • Revise and optimize manufacturing process standards where needed
  • Develop and achieve organizational goals and controls. Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality, and productivity.
  • Supporting the production operators e.g., in logging and quality control of the processes
  • Design and setup equipment for the manufacturing according to the workshop and process needs to improve the quality and stability of the manufacturing processes
  • Work on APQPs, PPAPs and incorporate its tools into team’s environment
  • Other duties as assigned and as necessary.

Your Profile

  • Sound knowledge in mechanical design, supply chain and manufacturing technologies.
  • At least 3 years’ professional experience in a planning type role, ideally within the manufacturing/engineering disciplines in European Space Technology and Production domains
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in e.g. Supply Chain, Aerospace / Mechanical / Production Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in mechanical design and manufacturing technologies.
  • Understanding of ERP system and Microsoft Office products; strong computer skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, including good customer service/phone skills and flexibility for handling a wide range of activities.
  • Strong English and German language skills (written and spoken).
